The St. Catherine Libraries, Media Services, & Archives are committed to providing services and assistance to all members of the St. Kate's community.

Library staff work with Student Disability Resources to ensure that library services and resources are accessible to all students.

Research Assistance

Members of the St. Kate's community can make an appointment with a librarian for in-depth research help. If you are unable to use the library website, equipment or other library resources, please contact the following to schedule an appointment:

Students who need extensive help with materials should contact Student Disability Resources to discuss their options. Faculty and staff should contact Human Resources.

Library Instruction for Students

If you are coming to the library with your class and have specific needs, please contact the Reference Desk in St. Paul at 651-690-6652, Sue Gray in Minneapolis at 651-690-7898, or ask your instructor to contact the librarian teaching your class.

Materials Assistance

Retrieving Materials

Library staff can retrieve print materials from library shelves or other areas that may be inaccessible.  If requesting many items, advanced notice is preferred.  For assistance, contact the St. Paul Campus Circulation Desk at 651-690-8737, or the Minneapolis Campus Circulation Desk at 651-690-7784.

Circulating Materials

Students, faculty, and staff may request a longer loan period for circulating materials in order to use them with assistive equipment.  For Minneapolis Library materials, please contact Sue Gray (651-690-7898 or  For St. Paul Library materials, contact Jenny Peters (651-690-6648,

Group Study Rooms

Both campus libraries have group study rooms. Students working with Disability Resources may request individual use of these rooms by contacting Sue Gray (651-690-7898 or in the Minneapolis Campus Library, and Jenny Peters (651-690-6648, in the St. Paul Campus Library.  Students needing accommodations will have priority use if all study rooms are occupied.
