Get articles from journals not at St. Kate's - Interlibrary Loan

You have searched journal databases and found some references. You find that St. Kate's does not have the full-text article. Now what?

Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) which is a service that allows you to request copies of articles in journals that St. Kate's does not own. The ILL system is called ILLIAD. Here's how ILLIAD works:

  1. Go to the St. Kate's Library  Interlibrary Loan page and click the purple ILLIAD button.
  2. Enter your St. Kate's username and password.
  3. The first time you use ILLIAD, create an account by filling out the form (you'll need your St. Kate's ID to locate the library barcode on the back). Enter your St. Kate's email address.
  4. Submit the form.

Processing time varies, depending on our work load and that of the lending library. Most articles arrive in 1-3 working days.

In your ILLIAD account, notice the navigation on the left side allowing you to place new requests, track requests, or retrieve articles delivered to you electronically.
