Old Gen AI guide (don't use))

NOTE: This guide is a work in progress and will continue to be updated as new generative AI resources, policies, and technologies are available.

Limitations and Ethical Concerns

Sometimes a chatbot will generate a false answer that appears to be correct, this is known as a “hallucination.

Generative AI models learn from vast amounts of data scraped from the internet, which can perpetuate societal biases present in that data. This can lead to biased AI chatbot outputs in text, image, and video generation.

Risk of mishandling personal data and privacy breaches.

Societal Implications

AI makes it significantly easier to generate disinformation, and deepfake tools have significantly improved. Large-scale disinformation can undermine trust in democratic institutions, manipulate public opinion, and polarize public discussions.
