Who can I talk to on campus?

Confidential Resources

In most cases, the following are not required to report information you give to anyone without your permission. However, they may be mandated to report information to appropriate authorities if there is an immediate threat of serious harm to a person or if the incident involves the maltreatment of a minor or a vulnerable adult. 

  • A counselor or therapist in the St. Catherine University Counseling Center
  • A priest in Campus Ministry
  • A licensed social worker in the Access and Success program
  • Physicians, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners in the Health & Wellness Clinic

Non-confidential Resources

The following are required by law to share information about reports of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other sexual misconduct with the Title IX Coordinator, which will trigger a university investigation.

  • Public Safety
  • Residence Life Staff
  • Student Affairs Office staff
  • Title IX Coordinator & Deputy Coordinators
  • Local law enforcement

Local hospitals, clinics, and urgent care centers may or may not be required to report information to law enforcement. See Appendix A of the Title IX Policy for more information.

A non-profit organization providing free and confidential outreach, advocacy, and support services for victims of sexual violence, their partners, families, and friends in Ramsey County. Their crisis line is operated 24/7.

Saint Paul/Ramsey County Domestic Abuse Intervention Project | (651) 645.2824
A non-profit providing domestic abuse resources to residents of Ramsey County. Their line is operated 24/7 with services in English, Spanish, and Hmoob.

LGBTQIA Anti-Violence Program | (800) 800.0350
A crisis support line, legal referrals, and free and confidential crisis counseling and advocacy services for those experiencing anti-LGBTQIA crimes, bias, relationship abuse, and sexual assault. Provided by OutFront Minnesota Community Services. 

Hmong American Partnership (HAP) Family Crisis Intervention | (651) 495.9160 (non-emergency) or (651) 266.4008 (emergency counseling)
Providing crisis-intervention services to individuals and families, including safety planning for victims of abuse and high-risk people. 

Minnesota Indian Women's Sexual Assault Coalition 
One of 22 Tribal Coalitions across the country formed to address sexual assault and violence in American Indian communities with the goal of eliminating sexual violence. 

Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault | 1.800.964.8847
Provides sexual assault information as well as locations and phone numbers of other sexual assault programs in Minnesota.

National Resources

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Programs

Facilitates physical and mental healing in sexual assault victims by providing individualized medical care by a specially trained forensic nurse.
