Library Pickup Service

St. Kate's is offering a library pickup service which allows a student/faculty/staff member to come and pick up print materials they requested ahead of time (we cannot accommodate drop-in requests). Here is what you need to know:

  1. All items need to be requested through CLICsearch. This includes items owned by St. Kate's as there is no browsing of the print collection at this time.

  2. Wait to receive an email in your St. Kate's email inbox letting you know the requested material is ready to be picked up.

  3. Pick up your library materials. Make sure to bring your St. Kate's ID. When you arrive at the library, please ring the doorbell. A library staff member will check your ID and bring your materials to you at the door. Library materials will not be released to anyone but the requester.

Requesting Materials from Other Libraries

We are able to provide access to materials outside of our collection, but wait times may be longer than usual due to less frequent courier services, limited staff, and quarantining of materials.

Requested items can be picked up during our Library Pickup Service hours. Please contact us if you cannot make it to campus during these hours.

CLIC Libraries

  • Requests can be made for available items owned by the CLIC libraries via CLICsearch.

  • Please allow 4-5 business days from the time you submitted your request for requested items to be ready for you to pick up.

  • Please contact with any questions.

ILLiad Interlibrary Loan

  • We are once again able to process requests for physical items through ILLiad interlibrary loan, but because many libraries still have limited staff and services, some items may not be available.

  • Please allow 10-14 business days from the time you submitted your request for requested items to be ready for you to pick up.

  • Please contact if you have questions about the availability of materials.

Returning Materials

If you would like to return library materials, you can do so at either of our bookdrops. You can find a map with the locations of our two bookdrops, which includes both an interior and an exterior location. Both bookdrops are accessible while the library is closed. A St. Kate's ID is required to access the CdC building for the internal book drop.

If you cannot make it to campus, you are also welcome to mail items back to us at your own expense (we suggest using USPS Media Mail and adding tracking):

St. Catherine University Library
2004 Randolph Avenue, #F-10
St. Paul, MN 55105

For the safety of library staff and other patrons, items owned by St. Catherine University will be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in, so there may be a delay between the return of your item and when it is actually checked in.

Items belonging to our partner libraries (CLIC or ILLiad items) will be checked in immediately and undergo quarantine at their home library.

Please contact with any questions.
