Permalinks, how to use them, and where to find them when using various databases.

Finding Persistent Links in Gale

For this example, we are using the database Expanded Academic ASAP, which is hosted on the GALE platform.

1. Type your keywords into the search bar to perform your search. Select an article you would like to read.

2. In the article's page, click the red (+) button next to the "Share" feature on the right side Tools menu.

3. Clicking this button will pop up a small dropdown menu - click on the bottom menu option that also contains a plus (+) sign and says "more". This will pull up a full-screen overlay with various sharing options, seen below. The link at the top of this menu is the persistent link. Copy to save it for later.
