Scholarly Publishing

A helpful guide for scholarly publishing.

Preparing to Publish

Consider these factors when selecting an appropriate journal to publish your article:

1. What journals are most used by you and your colleagues?

2. Which audiences would be most interested in your research?

3. What is the impact or rating factor? See the Journal Impact tab.

4. Is the journal peer-reviewed, widely circulated, indexed and abstracted?

5. How likely is the journal to publish your article? How long is the review process?

6. What are your rights once your article is accepted?

Journal Resources

Considering where to publish? Use these resources to research journals, publisher agreements, author fees and funder requirements to find the journal that meets your needs for widest dissemination of your research.
