Profiles @ St. Kate's

Profiles @ St. Kate's is a module of the research information management tool for St. Catherine University that records research, scholarly, creative, and quality improvement data for our faculty and key academic and research staff.

Automated Searching of Works

Automated Search set-up is located in the left navigation bar.  You can set up automated search for publications in online sources.

For sources with ID search enabled, we will search for all your past publications. For sources with name search enabled, we will search for your publications in the last 2 years (730 days). New searches are performed every 7 day(s). When we find a candidate, we will send a message in Pure, and below you can choose to receive an email as well.

Check the 'Inform me by email when candidates are found' checkbox in order to be notified when something is found and you can go verify and add it to your profile.

Click the radio button to on for those online sources you would like the system to check for you.  The available online sources are:

  • dblp computer science bibliography
  • Digital Commons
  • Scopus
  • Mendeley
  • EMBASE
  • PubMed
  • arXiv.org
  • SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS)
  • Espacenet Patent Search

Upon switching the search to on you will be prompted to provide name variants on which to search.

1. You may accept (and edit) the name variants suggested by Pure  OR

2. You may add your own name variants on which to search

Upon a work being found you will be provided with a preview of all candidates.

If you have one of your name variants with your first name initial, you will likely have many matches that are not your work, but it does catch more possibilities!
